Sarah Bruno is the Development Director at the Truman National Security
Project.  Before coming to Truman in April of 2010, Sarah served as the
National Development Director at America Votes, where she had been
since March of 2007.  Previous to America Votes, Sarah was a
Development Writer at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.  In
2007, Sarah was elected to Chair the Women's Information Network (WIN),
a networking group for Democratic, pro-choice women in Washington, DC,
a position she held until 2008.  Before coming to Washington, Sarah
worked as Development Coordinator at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

Currently, Sarah serves on the Board of Directors of the DC Rape Crisis
Center, volunteers with various other organizations and political
campaigns, and sings with the Congressional Chorus.  A life-long
feminist and long-time advocate for social justice, Sarah holds a
Master’s degree in macro social work from Boston University and a B.A.
in Anthropology with a Women’s Studies concentration from Haverford
College.
